  • Ann Salviazul, Development Coordinator

Ann is a Utah native currently living in Bayfield, Colorado. She received her BA in Fine Arts and has an extensive background with years of experience in arts & design, architectural and building trades, public presentations, and community relations.

During her long history volunteering with nonprofits and as owner/manager of a gallery and frame shop she’s curated, planned, and presented many art exhibits, as well as organized various community events, scheduled speakers, and supervised volunteers.

As a business owner Ann has been involved in speaking out for small businesses, serving as Vision Chair for the Cedar City Downtown Retail Alliance. She is also passionate about growing our cultural communities and worked as Visual Arts Liaison for the Community Engagement Committee for the then proposed Southern Utah Art Museum, a now thriving museum located in Cedar City, Utah.

Ann has been affiliated with multiple nonprofit organizations, having served as Chair for the ELHI Community Center, the Cedar City Art Committee and the Southern Utah Watercolor Society. She has volunteered for Manna Soup Kitchen, Spring Creek Horse Rescue and the Durango Arts Center, giving of her time to her communities.

Some of her awards include: Outstanding Leadership Award, MOSI Art Guild, Kirksville, Missouri; NxLevel Business Plan Contest state finalist, Salt Lake City, Utah; Artist-In-Residence at Willowtail Springs, Mancos, Colorado; Durango Arts Center Micro-Grant Award, Durango, Colorado.

  • Cora Shubert, Facilities Manager

A true Colorado native, Cora has spent most of her life living between Durango and Pagosa Springs. She earned her EMT certification in 2001 and went on to study Early Childhood Education at both Adams State College and Pueblo Community College. During and after college, she worked in after-school and summer programs and taught in several local preschools. When she had her own children, she knew homeschooling was the path she wanted to take. Although two of her children have graduated and the other two are in high school, she still loves creating engaging educational activities whenever she gets the chance.

Cora and her children are very active in their church and the many communities they are part of. With more than 10 years of nonprofit experience, she spends much of her time working with various nonprofit organizations. When she isn’t working, she is often found teaching First Aid, CPR, and Trauma Response, coaching run clubs, or creating educational chaos with her family.
